Medical Tourism Disclaimer

Company: PT. Alpha Global Nusantara (AGN)
Last updated: 2 October 2026

This disclaimer explains AGN’s role in medical tourism arrangements. Please read it alongside your individual coordination arrangements, treatment estimate and the treating healthcare provider’s documents. Nothing here excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

1. AGN’s role

AGN acts as an intermediary, facilitator and coordination platform connecting patients and families with independent hospitals, clinics, doctors, surgeons, diagnostic centres and other healthcare providers.

AGN does not itself provide medical treatment, diagnosis, surgery, healthcare or medical advice. Its role is to facilitate communication, coordination, appointments, travel arrangements and other agreed support services.

2. Independent healthcare providers

All medical consultations, examinations, diagnoses, treatments, procedures and surgeries are performed by independent healthcare professionals or institutions. You should independently consider and select your hospital, clinic, doctor or surgeon, with appropriate professional advice.

The patient chooses. The doctor decides. The hospital provides treatment. AGN facilitates and coordinates.

3. No guarantee of treatment or medical outcome

AGN does not guarantee or warrant:

  • Cure of a disease or medical condition.
  • Successful surgery or treatment.
  • Improvement in a patient’s condition.
  • A particular recovery time.
  • Cosmetic or functional results.
  • Absence of complications.
  • Suitability of a particular treatment.
  • Any other medical outcome.

Medical treatment and surgery involve inherent risks. Outcomes differ between patients and depend on clinical circumstances.

4. Patient decisions, medical information and informed consent

The decision to undergo a consultation, treatment, procedure or surgery belongs to the patient. Obtain appropriate advice directly from qualified healthcare professionals before proceeding.

Discuss and understand the proposed treatment, expected benefits, possible risks and complications, alternatives, expected recovery, follow-up requirements and financial costs. Provide complete and accurate medical information to the treating provider, including relevant records, existing conditions, medicines and allergies.

Informed consent for treatment must be obtained directly by the treating healthcare professional. AGN’s coordination does not replace medical advice or the provider’s consent process.

5. No medical advice by AGN

Information AGN provides about hospitals, doctors, treatments, procedures or medical tourism is for facilitation and coordination. It is not a diagnosis, clinical recommendation, prescription or guarantee of treatment success. Rely on qualified healthcare professionals for medical advice and treatment decisions.

6. Medical fees, estimates and refunds

Healthcare providers determine treatment fees, hospital charges, doctor’s fees, diagnostic charges and other healthcare costs.

Following initial assessment and video consultation, AGN works with the provider to coordinate a tentative treatment plan and estimated medical budget before proceeding with the medical visa process. The estimate is based on the records, reports and consultation information then available. Its exact inclusions and exclusions will be communicated individually.

The medical treatment estimate does not include airfare, visa charges, transportation, accommodation, food or personal expenses unless expressly included in writing. Coordination of these services does not mean their cost is included in the medical budget.

A tentative estimate is not an unconditional guarantee of the final bill. Further investigations, unexpected findings, complications, changes in condition or medically necessary additional procedures may create additional costs. AGN seeks to communicate these transparently and obtain the patient’s understanding and approval wherever medically possible before non-emergency additional treatment.

Where payments are made or facilitated through AGN, applicable payment and refund conditions will be communicated. Medical treatment refunds depend on the healthcare provider’s cancellation and refund policy and applicable law. AGN does not guarantee that a provider will approve a refund.

7. Medical emergencies

AGN is not an emergency medical service. In an emergency, immediately contact the treating hospital, doctor, emergency medical service or relevant local emergency authority.

AGN may assist with communication or coordination where reasonably possible. This assistance does not make AGN the treating provider or a guarantor of the medical outcome, and does not exclude any responsibility imposed by applicable law.

8. Travel and medical-related insurance

Where available, AGN may offer an option to obtain appropriate travel or medical-related insurance through an independent insurer. Premiums are additional and are paid by the customer.

Coverage depends entirely on the policy, including exclusions, limitations and claim requirements. Check whether the policy covers planned overseas treatment, pre-existing conditions and complications; these must not be assumed to be covered. AGN does not guarantee acceptance or payment of an insurance claim.

9. Third-party responsibility

Hospitals, clinics, doctors, surgeons and other healthcare providers are independent third parties. To the extent permitted by applicable law, AGN is not responsible for their independent medical decisions, acts, omissions, negligence, diagnoses, treatments, surgeries, complications or medical outcomes.

This does not exclude AGN’s own obligations or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Patient acknowledgement

Before proceeding with arrangements, patients should acknowledge that:

  1. AGN acts as an intermediary and facilitator.
  2. AGN does not provide medical treatment or medical advice.
  3. The healthcare provider is an independent third party.
  4. The patient makes their own treatment decision with qualified professional advice.
  5. Medical procedures involve inherent risks.
  6. AGN does not guarantee cure, successful surgery or any particular medical outcome.
  7. Medical advice and informed consent must come directly from the treating healthcare professional.

Patient-specific acknowledgement, including the patient’s name, reference number, date and signature or electronic acceptance, is recorded separately. Reading this page alone is not medical consent or booking confirmation.
